"The Taste of Times Square" Featured On EarthCam Participants Enjoy Entertainment and Local Restaurant Specialty Sampling FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE New York, June 8, 2010 -- EarthCam (www.earthcam.com), the official webcam of Times Square, today posted images of participants enjoying the "Crossroads of The World" salute to international food and street festivities at the annual “Taste of Times Square.” Visitors celebrating one of New York City’s most popular outdoor food festivals may be viewed at www.earthcam.com/tasteoftimessquare. EarthCam's roaming photographers invited attendees to pose for free souvenir photos as part of the festivities. Participants will be able to email images to family and friends from the EarthCam site. An annual production of the Times Square Alliance, the event inaugurates a series of summer events in Times Square. The tasting gave visitors the opportunity to sample signature dishes from Times Square's best restaurants; enjoy New York street performers, and catch exciting music and multicultural dance performance on two stages. Big Band swing music and dance lessons added to the fun. The festivities this year expanded from on ‘Restaurant Row” (West 46th Street, between Broadway and 9th Avenue), and along part of the Broadway promenade in Times Square. The annual street party featured international food samples from 50 restaurants.
